Moving your accounts to Heritage Bank is simple! Everything you need to get started is right here.
We’ve created a to-do list to help you through the process – all the forms and letters are available in the column to the right. All you have to do is print out and complete the forms and send them to the appropriate parties.
Direct deposits
- Make a list of the direct deposit vendors you need to contact
- Send written or faxed notice to your direct deposit vendors (payroll, social security, CD interest payments, etc.)
Use the Authorization for Direct Deposit and the Direct Deposit Cover Letter.
Automatic payments
- Make a list of the direct deposit vendors you need to contact
- Send written or faxed notice to vendors who automatically take payments from your account to change or cancel automatic payment (utilities, insurance, student loans, subscriptions etc.)
Use the Authorization for Automatic Payments and either the Change Auto Pay Cover Letter or the Cancel Auto Pay Cover Letter.
What to do with your old account
- Make certain your old account has enough money to cover outstanding checks and automatic payments that may still come through that account
- Wait to close your old account until all checks have cleared and automatic transactions have converted over to your new account
