Bob Mathiasen recently passed the exam to earn the prestigious RMA Credit Risk Certified (RMA-CRC) designation from The Risk Management Association.
Willmar, MN — Heritage Bank NA announced today that Bob Mathiasen, Chief Credit Officer, has earned the prestigious credit risk certified (RMA-CRC) designation from The Risk Management Association (RMA). Credit risk professionals with at least five years of experience who pass a five-hour computer-based exam receive the designation. It is open to members and nonmembers of RMA.
RMA worked with a committee of industry experts from a wide cross-section of banks to develop the certification. Introduced in 2005 after three years of development with IBM, the CRC is the only industry-wide certification available to credit risk professionals, including lenders, credit analysts, credit officers, and credit risk managers.
“We congratulate Bob on his accomplishment. Earning RMA’s CRC designation is a reflection of his knowledge and professionalism,” Heritage Bank CEO Tom Geiger said. “It distinguishes Bob with his team members and the bank’s customers.”
To maintain the designation, credit professionals must complete 45 continuing education credits every three years. For more information about the CRC designation, visit www.rmahq.org or call RMA Customer Care at 800-677-7621.
Founded in 1914, The Risk Management Association is a not-for-profit, member-driven professional association whose sole purpose is to advance the use of sound risk principles in the financial services industry. RMA promotes an enterprise approach to risk management that focuses on credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.
