P2P Payments Are Easy and Convenient

Making a Person-to-Person (P2P) payment through myHeritage Bank Digital Banking allows you to transfer funds from your bank account to the bank account of the person you are sending funds to—all from the convenience of your mobile phone. All you need is the other person’s cell phone number and/or email address.

How P2P Payments Work

To make a P2P payment, you will need a Heritage Bank account and be logged in to myHeritage Bank Digital Banking. The recipient will be notified of your payment by text or email, depending on what you choose to enter. The recipient clicks on the link and is prompted to enter a debit card number. The recipient does not have to be a Heritage Bank customer.  The payment is credited to the recipient’s bank account almost immediately – just as any debit card transaction would!

If, after 3 days, the recipient does not claim the funds, your money will be returned to your account. Should you accidentally provide an incorrect cell phone number, you can contact Heritage Bank for assistance to correct the transfer before payment is collected.

Making a P2P payment is easy and there are no fees for the sender or the recipient.  For security purposes, there are limits to how much you can send via P2P payment.  But for most P2P payments, as long as you have the available funds in your account, it is an easy and convenient way to pay other people.
