Willmar, Minn. – Jeff Asche of Heritage Bank was named a Minnesota Housing Top Producing Loan Officer at the Gold Level for the second half of 2014. As a Minnesota Housing lending partner, Jeff helps low- to moderate-income Minnesotans achieve homeownership through affordable home mortgage options.
For more than 40 years, Minnesota Housing has worked to provide access to safe and affordable housing and to build stronger communities across the state. In partnership with local lenders, Minnesota Housing offers first-time and repeat homebuyer loans, home improvement loans, down-payment and closing cost assistance and a first-time homebuyer tax credit.
The Minnesota Housing Top Producing Loan Officer Program awards outstanding loan officers biannually at three levels: Platinum, Gold and Silver. Loan officers meeting the threshold for each level based on regional production are recognized as top producers.
“We’re committed to supporting successful, sustainable homeownership through our affordable loan products,” said Commissioner Mary Tingerthal. “But we can’t do it alone – loan officer partners like Jeff are essential to making sure more Minnesota families have the chance to own a home.”
Asche has been with Heritage Bank since 2001 as a Mortgage Loan Originator/Vice President of Real Estate. In that time, there has been a dramatic shift toward a self-service style of banking. In addition to genuine face-to-face customer service, Heritage Bank also provides an online mortgage application. “Heritage Bank understands our responsibility is to the community and providing each customer the best home buying experience,” Asche said. “The home buyers are becoming more mobile so having multiple options to serve a wide variety of customers is key.”
Asche has been named a Top Producing Loan Officer every year since 2012, but he doesn’t take all the credit. “I’m proud to say we have a great team at Heritage that understands mortgage lending from all angles,” Asche said. “I’ve experienced the home loan process from all sides: I’ve been a buyer, a seller, an agent and a lender but it really is a team effort at Heritage Bank – just as it is with Minnesota Housing.”
