Title: Senior Loan Documentation Specialist

Location: Location Open (Willmar, Sioux Falls, Sioux City)

Position Summary:

The Senior Documentation Specialist (SDS) is part of the Loan Operations Team, working with Universal Bankers, Ag and Commercial Relationship Managers, as well as Portfolio and Credit Managers, who have primary responsibility for customer relationships.

The Senior Documentation Specialist provides documentation and security perfection services for Non-RE Consumer, Ag, and Commercial loan requests and renewals. Leading by example, the Senior Documentation Specialist provides leadership and support to loan staff. They also create loan documentation for new and renewing Non-RE Consumer loans, Ag and Commercial loans, including various Government Guaranteed and participation loans, manage recorded documents and filings, create adverse action notices, process paid loan documents and releases, and maintain compliance and other governmental reporting

PRIMARY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide guidance and leadership to loan staff
  • Prepare loan documentation for Non-RE Consumer, Agricultural and Commercial loans in compliance with Federal and State regulations and Bank policies
  • Book loans and accurately process payments for in-house, Gov’t guarantee, and participation loans
  • Maintain department records, loan files, collateral vault, and computerized tickler and imaging systems
  • Provide accurate and timely communication with internal and external customers
  • Prepare and distribute loan reports
  • Perfect and manage Bank’s collateral
  • Manage hazard and flood insurance
  • Perform Quality Assurance reviews
  • Provide support for various loan vendors and software programs
  • Prepare and mail loan adverse action notices and /or withdrawal letters

Education

  • Associate’s Degree or higher in business related field or equivalent experience preferred

Required Experience

  • 5+ years Ag/Commercial loan processing
  • Knowledge of SBA documentation processes and procedures
  • 5+ years banking experience a plus
  • LaserPro experience a plus
